Abstract
This Study examined over 12,000 homeloan mortgage possession cases in Irish Circuit Courts in 2019. Some two-thirds of cases were being taken by household named lenders, and one third by so-called vulture funds. One third of the cases were concluded in the period, with one-third of these resulting in court orders for possession or sale. Two-thirds were concluded but with arrears remaining.
