Biography
I was appointed Lecturer in Spanish and Translation Studies at the University of Galway in 2024, and I am currently the Programme Director of the MA in Translation Studies.
I completed my BA in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Salamanca in 2010. After that, I received both an MA in Foreign Languages and Literatures and a Posgraduate Diploma in Teaching at University Level from WVU in 2012, before moving to the UK and completing my PhD at the University of Manchester in 2017.
Prior to my current appointment at the University of Galway, I lectured at the University of Reading (UK) and The University of the West Indies (Jamaica).
My research interests lie in the intersection between the sociology of translation, gender studies and Central American literature. I am also fully invested in the teaching of translation and carry out research in that field.
