Biography
Sarah Murphy is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Irish Centre for Social Gerontology, in the Institute for Lifecourse and Society, at University of Galway. Sarah works on CONTEXT-care: Co-producing an eco-system model for community-based integrated care for older people in peripheral places. Sarah was awarded a Connaught Ulster Alliance Bursary to complete her PhD research on service user experiences of person-centred integrated care in the context of the National Integrated Care Programme for Older Persons (NICPOP). Sarah has worked in research and evaluation in the fields of health and social care policy and systems, public health and ageing for over 20 years. She has particular interests in health and social care policy and systems, service user experiences of care in integrated contexts, person-centredness in care environments, and optimisation through service and system design.
