Biography
Accomplished academic researcher and educator specialising in anatomy, biomaterials, and medical device development. Currently working as an Assistant Professor in Anatomy at the University of Galway since 2021. Extensive experience in teaching and learning, research supervision, and collaborative multidisciplinary research projects. Committed to delivering high-quality, clinically relevant anatomy teaching through clear explanation, practical engagement, and strong integration of research and real-world application. Demonstrated leadership in academic administration, student mentorship, and innovative research programmes. Strong track record in securing competitive research funding (over €4.5 million as PI/Co-PI) and translating research into practical medical applications through successful industry partnerships.
