Personal profile

Research Interests

I am a medical doctor specialised in pharmacology and toxicology, with a research focus on neuroscience and translational studies of chronic pain and associated neuropsychiatric disorders. My work explores the relationship between chronic pain, mood disorders, and cognitive dysfunction using an integrated approach that combines behavioural neuroscience, pharmacology, and molecular biology.
My research employs advanced experimental methods, including behavioural testing, neurochemical analyses, and genetically modified rodent models, to identify novel therapeutic targets. A key area of interest is the investigation of emerging cannabinoid-based therapies. Through interdisciplinary collaborations, I aim to clarify the neurobiological mechanisms linking pain and psychiatric disorders and to support the development of innovative treatment strategies.
