Biography

Padraic Killeen holds a BA in English and Philosophy from University of Galway and an MA in English Literature and Publishing from the same institution. He completed a doctorate in Film Studies in Trinity College Dublin in 2015. He is the authorof The Dark Interval: Film Noir, Iconography, and Affect (Bloomsbury,2022), as well as peer-reviewed articles in the areas of film, media studies, and digital arts and culture. Padraic is a video essayist and advocate of practice-based models of research and learning. His scholarly work is complemented by a longstanding career in arts journalism, where he published widely on topics in theatre, film, music and photography.
