Biography

Dr Orlaith Hernon is a registered general nurse, children's nurse and nurse tutor.

Orlaith has gained experience in developing micro-credentials and online learning programmes and her primary research area includes educational research and the use of educational technologies. 

Orlaith’s current research activities include two EU co-funded projects, DigiCanTrain -Digital Skills Training for Health Care Professionals in Oncology and EduCanNurs- Towards Cancer Care Continuum Approach in Undergraduate Nursing Education.

Orlaith is also a member of Vascular Access and Infusion Therapy research group within the University of Galway and currently co-supervises 2 PhD students.
