I am a lecturer in the Discipline of Physiology at NUI Galway. I have 8 peer-reviewed Public - No restrictionations to date and I am a member of The Physiological Society. I hold an MSc in Exercise Physiology and a PhD in Clinical medicine both awarded from Trinity College Dublin (TCD). I taught on the Masters in Exercise Physiology course in TCD for over 7 years before moving to NUI Galway. At NUIG, I teach physiology to 1st year medical students as well as continue to teach modules in exercise physiology and supervise undergraduate research projects in exercise physiology. I have a keen interest in exercise prescription in clinical populations. My research interests include prevention and modification of disease states by exercise and sports therapy.
