Biography

Dr Nicola Miller has worked as a Lecturer Senior Research Fellow in the Discipline of Surgery, NUI Galway since 2005. Having carried out her undergraduate studies in Biotechnology at Kings College London, she completed her PhD on Imprinted Genes in Breast Cancer at UCD. Her postdoctoral work began at the National Centre for Medical Genetics, Dublin as a Clinical Scientist followed by a 2 year Post-doc on hereditary breast cancer. Following a subsequent move to St Jamess Hospital Dublin she was involved in the establishment of a new clinical service laboratory for molecular cancer diagnostics and worked as a Lecturer in Trinity College Dublin, before moving to Galway.
