Philosophy of science, philosophy of language, philosophy of history.
Nick initially studied physics, and then did a PhD in the History and Philosophy of Science. He was a research fellow at Trinity College, Cambridge, 2004-8. His philosophical work has been on the interpretation of probability and on methodological disputes in the history of science. He coordinated the Arts with Data Science BA between 2018 and 2024.
My early Public - No restrictionations focused on methodological issues in the history and sociology of science. More recently, I have become interested in the metaphysics of objective chance.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
