Passionated of data science, AI, and much more. Founder and former board member of Snap4, a start-up that provides customization and support for Snap4City, a Smart City Platform. Semantic Modelling of Smart cities and Industries - Street graph, Internet of Things, production lines.Open StreetMap Data Engineering - Definition and implementation of a process for generating semantic resources from OSM data.GTFS Data Engineering - Implementation of Pentaho Kettle transformations for producing semantic resources from GTFS feeds. Key Performance Indicators - Definition of KPIs for the monitoring of energy and water production pooring and consumption. Extensible ETL Engine - Design and implementation of an extensible ETL engine based onhuman-readable XML documents. Automatic Web Documentation for Ontologies - Design and implementation of a Java Web Application that provides an hypertextual documentation of an ontology based on its OWL representation, building both textual descriptions and images on-the-fly. RDF Datasets Measurement - Definition of metrics for different aspects of RDF datasets, and SPARQL-based implementation. Standard-compliant API Documentation - Production of OpenAPIv3-compliant documentation for all APIs of the Snap4City Platform using Swagger. API Federation - Design and implementation of a Java Web Application that ensures scalability and redundancy through the management of a set of Smart City API endpoints that are exposed to the end-user as if they were just one. Custom Data Visualization Platform - In the context of Snap4City, design and implementation of a client-server architecture and Web interface that allows users to build their own interactive and real-time synoptics and dashboards with different types of data.Ubiquitous System Integration and Advanced Analytics as a Service - Design and implementation of containerized software architectures that enable the data engineering in the EdgeFog layers of Smart Industries, and the computation of advanced analytics through parallel programming and data distribution on the cloud, fully configurable from scratch through API calls.
During my PhD at the University of Florence, I have held lessons about Semantic Knowledge, ETL, XML, and supervised a number of students.
