Please see www.maths.nuigalway.ie~gettrick I work mainly on quantum walks and quantum game theory, or more broadly in the general areas of quantum information, quantum computation and quantum algorithms. I have further interests in the general areas of mathematics applied to music and to transportmetrotram systems.

Biography

PLEASE SEE ALSO: https://maths.nuigalway.ie/~gettrick/ Michael Mc Gettrick holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics (String Theory) from the University of Notre Dame (Indiana), and a Bachelors Degree in Theoretical Physics from Trinity College Dublin. He has carried out research at

Originally working as a string theorist, he has since carried out research in (the mathematics of) discrete event dynamical systems, computer algebra (symbolic computation), quantum information (quantum computation), mathematics of transport and algorithmic composition (music)
