Personal profile

Biography

I am a Lecturer in Applied Mathematics and Mathematics in the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences. During the period 2019-2023 I was a Royal Society-Science Foundation Ireland University Research Fellow based at the University of Galway. Research Interests

I am interested in quantum information theory, including

  • Quantum Error-Correction and Fault-tolerance
  • Stabilizer formalism (generalization to d-level systems, quantum error-correcting codes, Gottesman-Knill theorem)
  • Clifford group (and classical simulability, representation via SL(2,p))
  • Magic state distillation
  • Quantum Foundations
  • Discrete Wigner functions (negative quasiprobabilities, Galois fields, relationship with G-K theorem)
  • Mutually unbiased bases, SIC-POVMs, quantum Bayesianism
  • Nonlocality & Contextuality
