My research explores policies and practices in teacher education and educational leadership to support diversity, equity, and inclusion in education and wider society. I examine strategies to attract, support, and promote the professional growth and well-being of a diverse teaching workforce. In line with this, I have studied teacher motivations to understand the factors that drive individuals to enter and stay in teaching, particularly as they differ across demographic groups.

I explore leadership practices that prioritise equity, inclusion and social responsibility, aiming to create supportive, empowering environments for teachers and students alike. Through school-university partnerships and teacher practitioner research, I promote collaborative professional development that addresses real-world challenges. My overarching goal is to shape resilient, reflective educators equipped to lead diverse and democratic classrooms, ultimately fostering educational spaces that celebrate and respect the varied linguistic, cultural, and social backgrounds of all students.

With a deep-rooted passion for languages, my research also delves into multi- and plurilingual education contexts and the creation of learning environments that celebrate students linguistic and cultural diversity. I focus on advancing modern language teacher professional learning and developing innovative language teaching methodologies that equip educators to meet the varied needs of diverse classrooms.
