Biography
I am a college lecturer in Italian and Childrens Studies at the University of Galway. My research focuses on Italian childrens literature and culture, comparative childrens literature and film, translation, fantasy literature and picturebooks. I believe that creativity and critical thinking should be at the heart of education at all levels and it is my mission to foster these as best I can in my teaching, research and community involvement.

Teaching Interests
My teaching interests include nineteenth and twentieth-century Italian childrens literature and film, fantasy literature, picturebooks, adaptation, Europan childrens literature and society, childrens literature in translation.
