Biography

I am a post-doctoral researcher inCÚRAM and School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences. Mycurrent work at CÚRAM is focused on conducting primary research in Biostatistics, providing statistical supports to CÚRAM researchers, and facilitating training and workshops on statistical methodologies and statistical software R.I am also lecturing a graduate-level course for the MSc. in Health Data Science Course. I haveobtained my PhD in Biostatistics from University of Galway. In my PhD work I proposed a novel statistical approach to analyse method comparison studies, collecting functional responses, using mixed-effects modelling framework. In addition to that I also proposed a novel and efficient computational approach to estimate non-parametric hierarchical mixed-effects model. As a research assistant for the UniCov project, I developed a surveillance tools to monitor the pandemic situation in Irish university campuses. I was the lead statistician for a large clustered randomised control trial recruiting gt; 16,000 infants in Bangladesh.

Research Interests

My primary research area is to develop statistical models and algorithms to analyse high-dimensional, multivariate data arising in biostatistics, sports analytics and data science. In addition to that I am interested in applying statistical best practices forsustainable development in health sector by solving worlds most pressing challenges using data-led innovations.
