My research interests are in mathematics education, in particular the teaching and learning of mathematics at university level with a special interest in the teaching and learning of mathematical proof and the role of mathematics support centres from a sociocultural point of view.
Kirsten Pfeiffer is a lecturer of mathematics and the manager of the mathematics and statistics support centre SUMS at the University of Galway. Her research focuses on the teaching and learning of mathematics at university level, with a special interest in the teaching of mathematical proof and the role of mathematics support centres from a sociocultural point of view.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
