Biography

Dr Kevin Ng obtained his PhD from UNSW Sydney, Australia in 2021, with a focus on touch perception and the neural coding of vibrotactile stimuli in peripheral afferents. He then trained as a postdoctoral researcher at Linköping University, Sweden from 2021-2023 in the neural coding of pain perception in peripheral nociceptors. At University of Galway, he was awarded the MedTrain+ Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship from CÚRAM, co-funded by Research Ireland and the European Union, to investigate the use of muscle recordings (EMG) and the nociceptive withdrawal reflex in studying and predicting the outcomes of low back pain patients.
