Biography

First class honours in Marine Science and PhD in Microbiology/Zoology. I am a lecturer on the Microbiology pathway in the School of Biological and Chemical Sciencesat the University of Galway.My research interests are in the areas of Marine Microbiology and diagnostic assay design for clinically relevant pathogens. I am also extremelypassionate about the application of modern teaching and learning methods in order to enhance my teaching. I have created a freely available online YouTube channel hosting over 40 instructional videos depicting key laboratory techniques used in Microbiology (a target=_blank rel=nofollow href=https:www.youtube.comwatch?v=fj8bNMAwrGghttps:www.youtube.comwatch?v=fj8bNMAwrGg )
