Biography

Jennifer Buckley is a Lecturer in English at University of Galway, specialising in literature of the long eighteenth century. She is a graduate of the University of Cambridge (BA) and University of York (MA, PhD). Her main research interests are in Book History and print culture, periodical stuides, fictionality, and Digital Humanities. She is the author of Periodicals, Fiction and the Novel, 1700-1760 (2025) and co-editor of Character and Caricature, 1660-1820 (2024). Her work has also appeared, or is forthcoming, in journals including Eigheenth-Century Studies, Publishing History, and Digital Humanities Quarterly.

She has been awarded funding and fellowships by the AHRC, Clark Library (UCLA), John Rylands Research Institute, and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions.
