I am a Lecturer above the bar in the School of Computer Science. I received my PhD from LUMS University, Pakistan, under the supervision of Professor Asim Karim. My doctoral thesis is titled:

“Semantic Smoothing Strategies for Improved Text Classification and Clustering.”

My research interests lie in data mining and machine learning, with a focus on algorithms and their real‐world applications.

Previously, I worked as a Post‐Doctoral Researcher at the Insight Centre for Data Analytics, University of Galway, where I was based in the Unit for Linguistic Data (ULD) at the Data Science Institute. The ULD is dedicated to the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of linguistic data (language resources) using diverse methodologies.

Beyond linguistic data and Knowledge Graphs / Linked Open Data, my ongoing research includes:
- Text categorization and clustering
- Text summarization
- Sentiment analysis
- Leavering Eye-tracking Data for NLP Applications
- Cyber Security
