Biography
Ira (Irina) is a graduate of Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Trinity College Dublin, and the University of Galway where she completed her PhD and held an IRCHSS postdoctoral fellowship. In addition to teaching within the discipline of English, Ira works as manager of the Academic Writing Centre at the James Hardiman Library. Special interests include Translation, Ibsen Studies, the Irish Literary Revival (in particular the work of W.B. Yeats, J.M. Synge, and James Joyce), 20th Century Drama, 20th Century Irish Fiction, the Literature of the Fantastic, Literary and Dramatic Adaptation, and Academic Writing.
