Biography
Global health researcher (PhD & MSc) bridging academic and pharmaceutical expertise, advanced programming skills in R and SAS. This includes developing and implementing epidemiological models to address complex public health challenges.
As a global health professional and researcher Erik recently obtained a PhD in Global health from National Taiwan University. He was trained in environmental epidemiology and conducted hands-on research on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in occupational environments such as the agricultural sector. His PhD research had a strong data science focus, and established an occupational cohort from Health Insurance (claim) data and Labor Insurance data to explore occupational AMR risks.
In January 2026, Erik joined the Global Health Team at the University of Galway as a Postdoctoral Researcher on the OH-ALLIES project. Leveraging his expertise in environmental epidemiology and data science, his work focuses on developing and tailoring surveillance deliverables within a comprehensive One Health framework.
