Biography

Declan completed his B.Comm and MBS (Marketing) at UCG (Now University of Galway) and his PhD (Business Administration) at Manchester Business School, University of Manchester. Prior to beginning his academic career with University of Galway he worked in GMIT and IT Tralee. In 2010, he was awarded Fellowship of the Marketing Institute of Ireland in recognition of outstanding contribution to the development of Marketing in Ireland. Teaching and Research interests lie in the areas of Strategic Marketing, Selling amp; Sales Management, Analytics and Marketing in Society. He is a previous Head of the Marketing Discipline and currently Programme Director for the MSc Marketing Management.

Research Interests

The usage of technology in self-service delivery (SSD) is my PhD thesis topic area. The primary objective of the research was to develop, test, and validate a model of key constructs driving the usage of Internet banking.
