Biography

Professor Colette Kelly is a PersonalProfessor of Health Promotion and Director of the Health Promotion Research Centre. Colette has served as Director of the BA Social Care programme (2011-2018) and other roles in the University have included Vice Dean for Graduate Studies in the College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences and member of Academic Council.Shejoined the university in 2005 having worked in nutrition research and practice in the UK and Ireland. Prof Kelly is a registered Public - No restriction Health Nutritionist and her research interests include child and adolescent health,food and nutrition, food environments,vulnerable groups and participatory methodologies.Teaching Interests: Health Promotion · Social Care · Nutrition·Research Research Interests:Food environments,Overweight and obesity,Nutrition,Body image,Participative approaches to research,Health Behaviours among school-aged Children (HBSC) Professional Activities: · Registered Public - No restriction Health Nutritionist (RPHNutr.) · Member of the Nutrition Society ·Member of the Childrens Research Network.
