Biography

Dr Claire Kerins is a Lecturer in Evidence-Based Healthcare at University of Galway and a member of the Centre for Health Research Methodology. Her research focuses on the translation of evidence into health policy and practice, with expertise in evidence synthesis, implementation science, and knowledge translation. She is an invited member of the international Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR) Leadership Team.

A registered dietitian, Claire previously served as Lead Specialist Dietitian at Croí, the West of Ireland Cardiac and Stroke Foundation, where she led the dietetic service and developed specialist training for healthcare professionals, including the Nutrition and Diet Module for the MSc in Preventive Cardiology at University of Galway.

Claire holds a PhD in Health Promotion from University of Galway (HRB SPHeRE Programme, 2022), a PgCert in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (University of Galway, 2025), an MA in Health Promotion (University of Galway), and a BSc (Hons) in Human Nutrition & Dietetics (Trinity College Dublin).
