Biography

Dr. Clíona Murray is an assistant professorat the School of Education, University of Galway. She teaches sociology of educationand research methodsand iscoordinator of practitioner research on the Máistir Gairmiúil san Oideachas. Her research interests include education policy studies, social inclusion, empathy education, minority languages in education,and narrative research. A graduate of University ofGalway, UCL Institute of Education and Maynooth University, her doctoral research examined the interplay of education policy and teacher identity.Clíona worked as a post-primary teacher of French and Germanprior to taking up her current position.
