Biography
Ciara Mulgrew is a Research Assistant at the Health Promotion Research Centre, University of Galway. She holds a Masters Degree in Health Promotion and a Postgraduate Certificate in Mental Health Promotion, University of Galway and is a Registered Mental Health Nurse. Her MA dissertation entitled Adolescent perspectives and the impact of obesity prevention strategies: A scoping review, mapped the evidence of adolescents' perspectives and the possible unintended effects of anti-obesity strategies, and explored the impact on adolescents' mental health and wellbeing. Since joining the Health Promotion Research Centre in May 2025, she has worked in the area of mental health promotion.
