PhD projects

My primary research interests surround the cognitive neuroscience and open scence, with a specific focus on language and other core cognitive functions. I use a wide-range of neuroscientific techniques for this purpose including onlinebehavioural testing, EEG, event-related potentials (ERPs), eye-tracking, and pupillometry. I also have a research interest in the experiences of neurodiversity in higher education and wellbeing.

Biography

Dr Ciara Eganis a lecturer in Clinical Neuroscience within the School of Psychology. Prior to her appointment she completed her PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience at Bangor University. She is currently Co-Director ofthe MSc in Clinical Neuroscience, and her research focuses on cognitive neuroscience of language, neurodiversity, and open science, predominantly using EEG, event-related potentials, and pupil dilation. She is also an ENLIGHT Open Science Ambassador, is active in science outreach dissemination,and contributes to large-scale projects on embedding open scholarship into education.
