Biography
Prof. Malone is the Head of School of Medicine since September 2016 and is a Consultant General and Breast Surgeon. Prof. Malone is involved in both Undergraduate teaching and delivered Postgraduate training while consultant inter coordinator for the West, North-West Region and former Chair of the National Intern Network Executive. Additionally, Prof. Malone is the current chair of the Irish Medical School Council, Past President of the Society of Irish Breast Surgeons (SIBS) and Prof. Malone also sits on the RCSI Postgraduate General Surgical Training committee. Clinically, Prof. Malone speciality interest is in the area of breast cancer and research interests include Molecular Oncology and Reconstructive Breast Surgery.
