Biography
Brian Hickey is a Lecturer, Practice Placement Coordinator, and Director of the BA Social Care programme in the School of Health Sciences. Brian has a BA in Social Care and an MA in Adult Learning and Development and has extensive experience in Social Care in the areas of Youth and Homeless Services. Brian has an active interest in adult learning, CORU registration, and the professionalisation of the profession, as well as social justice and integrating the marginalised into society through meaningful activities, particularly through sports and music. Is currently pursuing a PhD in Marginalisation and the impact of Community Music on outcomes. Brian delivers a number of modules across the four years of the programme.
