Biography

Dr. Ayse Keles is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Computer Science, University of Galway, and at ADAPT Research Centre. Her research is supported by the MSCA grant agreement No. 101152004 (Project: DL-I-PBraTSC) under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program.

Dr. Ayse has a strong background Big data Analytics, Machine Learning, particularly in the field of health informatics. She has held several key positions in Türkiye’s Ministry of Health, contributing significantly to the development of the national health data warehouse, including the National Health System. As a Decision Support Systems Specialist and Software Project Manager, she played a pivotal role in major national projects, including the Additional Payment E-Payroll Service (EKOBS), which served over 340,000 healthcare workers. Throughout her career, she has actively taught courses on Big Data Analytics, Database Management Systems, and Information Systems in Healthcare at universities in Türkiye.

Ayse obtained her PhD thesis in Computer Science in in Computer Science in Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University Graduate School of Natural Sciences. Her PhD topic was "Cerebrospinal Fluid Flow Segmentation And Feature Extraction Of Phase Contrast Mri Using Deep Learning Technique".
