Biography
Aoife Lowery is a Consultant Surgeon at Galway University Hospital and Associate Professor in the Discipline of Surgery, University of Galway. Aoife's research interests focus on cancer surgery and survivorship, in particular breast and endocrine cancer.
She was the the recipient of Irish Cancer Society Clinical Research Leadership award and the lead investigator on numerous breast cancer trials. Aoife is the clinical lead for the Research Ireland-funded ARCHub for HealthTech, clinical advisor to Bioinnovate Ireland and co-investigator with medical technology companies, Luminate Medical and Endowave.
Aoife teaches on the Undergraduate Medical Education Programme at University of Galway and is a member of the Irish Clinical Academic Training (ICAT) steering committee.
Research Interests
