Biography

Anne Egan is a graduate of University of Galway where she was awarded a B.A in Legal Science, Sociology and Politics in 2003 and LL.B in 2004. She completed her PhD in 2008 on The Rights and Responsibilities of Fathers in Irish Family Law.

She was a tutor in the Faculty of Law from 2004–2006 and lectured part-time in Family Law in 2007–2008. She has completed a Certificate in Part 1 Mediation training accredited to the Mediators Institute of Ireland.

Anne was also awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in 2009 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Academic Practice in 2011 both with the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching, University of Galway. Anne is a member of the University of Galway – University of Limerick research network, Gender ARC (Advanced Research Consortium on Gender, Culture and the Knowledge Society).

Family Law, Law and Social Policy, Sociology of Law, Key Issues in Irish Law, Irish Legal Systems, Contemporary Issues in Law and Society on the LL.M in Public Law.
