Biography
Anna Trego is currently a post-doctoral researcher at NUIG, where she recently completed her PhD investigating the development and life-cycle of granular biofilms with applications for both sustainable engineered wastewater treatment and for Microbial Ecology. Her post-doctoral work expands on biological applications for resource management, supporting projects centered on the sustainable treatment of industrial and municipal wastewater, and simultaneous production of energy, organic chemicals and biopolymers.
