Biography
Dr. Anatoli Nachev is a College Lecturer in Business Information Systems at the National University of Ireland, Galway. He holds a BSc and MSc in Mathematics and Informatics from Sofia University, as well as a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. His doctoral dissertation, "Adaptive ART2 Neural Networks," focuses on modifying a class of neural networks based on adaptive resonance theory.
Prior to joining the University of Galway, he worked in industry as an IT supervisor at Slavjani Bank and served as a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at Shumen University.
His research interests include Business Analytics, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Neural Networks, Support Vector Machines, and Big Data. He has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Information, Knowledge, and Management, and has acted as a reviewer for journals such as IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks, International Journal of Information Technology & Decision Making, International Journal of Neural Systems, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, and Algorithms (MDPI). He has also edited special issues and published in leading international journals and conferences in his areas of expertise.
Dr. Nachev’s teaching portfolio includes over 30 courses in areas such as Data Mining, Business Modelling and Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science and Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Application Development, Object-Oriented Programming, Functional and Logical Programming, Networks and Communications, Databases, Operating Systems, Computational Linguistics, Language Engineering, Expert Systems, Internet Technologies, Software Quality and Testing, Web Programming, and Information Systems Security & Ethics.
