I welcome enquiries from prospective PhD students interested in Human-Computer Interaction, particularly research at the intersection of sustainability, participatory design, and socio-technical systems. Potential topics include sustainable everyday practices, human-building interaction, food systems, technologies for fostering relationships with nature, and design approaches that support more just and sustainable futures. I am especially interested in interdisciplinary projects addressing real-world societal and environmental challenges through empirical and design-led research.

Adrian Clear is a researcher in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) working at the intersection of sustainable HCI, participatory design, and socio-technical systems. His research explores how digital technologies can support sustainable everyday practices, collective engagement with environmental challenges, and human-building interaction. His work spans the built environment, food systems, and design approaches for more just and sustainable futures.
