Biography

Mr Adam McIlwaine is a Lecturer in the Discipline of Podiatric Medicine at the University of Galway. He has extensive clinic experience within Musculoskeletal and Orthopaedic Practice. Prior to this position he worked as a Advanced practitionerExtended Scope post within the British Ministry of Defence and continues to work within Elite sport across the UK and Ireland. He has Postgraduate Qualifications in Sports and Biomedical Medicine. He has experience on supervising research of postgraduate students from his time as associate lecturer on MSc Sports and Exercise Medicine at the University of Ulster Jordanstown. Adam has a keen interest in the area of Musculoskeletal conditions and has commenced preparations for his own PhD studies as part of his new role in the near future.
