The Sustainability Committee within the School of Engineering to look at various initiatives aimed at promoting Sustainable engineering practices, raising awareness about environmental issues, and implementing innovative solutions within our School to address these areas.
University of Galway has been designated as a national SDG Champion for 2023-24 by the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications. The designation recognises the leading role the University is playing in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We as a School need to do our part to further these goals. The recently launched University of Galway Climate Action and Sustainability Policy sets out the university�s transition to a sustainable future by embedding the SDGs into all our major efforts, including education, research, leadership, professional support services, operations and engagement activities.
