Outreach. This was aimed at the public and patients, which described the impact of diabetes on bone health and other organs, and the results from our study. As a result of this study, healthcare professionals and patients have been made aware of this under-recognised complication of diabetes. I participated in the open day at Health Research Board (HRB)-Clinical Research Facility at Galway: outreach event and public engagement on stem cells for application in diabetes and its complications.
