Outreach:The Garden Marathon, Serpentine Gallery, London, 2011. Provided scientific advice and plant identifications for Jef Geys exhibition (in collaboration with Dr Micheline Sheehy Skeffington and Anna Pielach).Fascination of Plants Day (May 18th 2012, 2013, 2015 http: www.plantday12.eu ). National coordinator for all events in Ireland including involving other members of the scientific community at a national level, giving advice and reporting back to the International coordinators. At a local level organised a series of events including a national photography competition and exhibition, a plant-inspired art exhibition, storytelling (attended by ~70 school children) and tree climbing (http: fascinationofplants.blogspot.com). The events were reported in 4 local newspapers and on 2 radio stations
