Outreach. National Secondary Schools Translation Competition
Organisation of a translation competition for secondary school children who were asked to translate nineteenth- century poetry from French, German, Italian, Irish and Spanish into English. The competition received 208 entries from 35 different schools in 15 different counties across Ireland. Winners were invited to Galway for prize-giving ceremony with their teachers and family members and photographs from the prizegiving featured in local press and on school websites
