External Collaboration. Current research projects�include the Archaeology of the Famine focused on the North Burren around Ballyvaughan in Co. Clare which is research carried out as part of�the Burren Community Archaeology Project.� This is a collaboration with the community in Ballyvaughan and others interested to participate.Collaboration with Slieve Aughty Community Archaeology Project and Galway County Council.The Public Art and Public Archaeology�Project at the former psychiatric hospital of St Brigids�in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway is a�collaboration with member sof the public, artists from GMIT, independent artists and archaeologists.��Dr Seamus Mcguinnness, School of Humanities, GMIT is co-principal investigator.� The project has also involved consultation with a number of agencies including HSE West Galway Mental Health Services, National Museum of Ireland, Galway City Museum, Galway County Council. �
