Research (e.g. Community based research). I engaged with individuals living with type I and type II diabetes attending at the Diabetes Care Centre at GUH, who took part in a research project that aimed at understanding their knowledge and perceptions about living with diabetes, as well as their knowledge and understanding about the influence of diabetes on their bone health (Sanz-Nogu�s C. et al, 2020). I engaged with Irish diabetes-related healthcare professionals at GUH and through the Diabetes Ireland Conference Exhibition (DICE), on a survey that aimed at understanding their level of recognition and knowledge on diabetes-induced osteopathy. Results from our research demonstrate an opportunity to develop educational modules to improve awareness on this topic, as well as new cross-team collaborations among healthcare professionals for treating the multifaceted needs of individuals living with diabetes.
